Wisconsin Ice Fishing Expo

Debuting December 8-10, 2023 at the Sunnyview Expo Center in Oshkosh, Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Ice Fishing Expo will take place December 8-10 at Sunnyview Exposition Center. This first year event will jump out of the gates as Wisconsin’s largest dedicated ice fishing expo, with plenty of retailers, manufacturers, seminars, and special features to attract not only the die hard ice anglers but also families looking to add a new hobby to their winter roster.

One of the event owners, Dan Durbin, said their group is thrilled to showcase all things ice fishing in Oshkosh because the area is home to Lake Winnebago, the best ice fishing destination in the state.

TOP GEAR!

“Nearly every major ice fishing brand will be present, as well as, unique brands that aren’t found in big box stores,” he said. “Ice fishing lures, shelters, augers, electronics, and retailers will be packed into over 35,000 square feet of exhibition space.”

LEARN FROM THE PROS

Some of the industry’s top ice fishing professionals will provide seminars all three days including Tom Boley, Larry Smith, Pat Kalmerton, Troy Peterson and many more, including a special guest appearance by former Green Bay Packer, Bill Schroeder.

KIDS’ ZONE

“There’s also a trout pond and variety of games in the kids’ zone that our friends from the Ice Junkies will be hosting,” Durbin said. “Santa will also be on hand one of the days giving kids picture opportunities and gifts.”

WIN FISHING GEAR

Attendees can also win fishing gear from the roaming “Prize Patrol” and Clam and Eskimo are donating incredible ice shacks and other great gear, as part of a free Expo raffle.

FOOD TRUCKS

“We want this to be more than a standard ice fishing expo, we want it to be more of an ice fishing festival,” Durbin said. “Food trucks will be on hand with subs, gyros, burgers and more. In the past, folks had to drive several hours to Minnesota to attend a dedicated ice expo; we are centrally located so Wisconsin families don’t have to go far to experience all the fun and ice-fishing related gear, guides, and more.”

SPONSORS

The expo has several great sponsors including Acme Tackle, Beaver Dam, Ice Team, Ion Fishing, Eskimo, Wisconsin Outdoor News, National Professional Anglers Association(NPAA), Future Anglers Foundation (FAF), and the Wisconsin Interscholastic Fishing Association (WIFA).

“We’re excited and grateful for all of our sponsor partners,” Durbin said. “WIFA is an exciting group to have at the Expo, in that they have over 130 high school teams that will be kicking off their ice fishing tournaments a week after our expo. It will be great having many of their members rallying at our show. Getting our youth involved is a priority for our expo and our vendors will love having that younger demographic attend too.”
