Girl Scouts in Seymour Contributing to Community

What’s happening in Seymour?

Seymour Girl Scout Troop 2082 is working hard to earn their Silver Award. To earn this, the girls must focus on coordinating a project by identifying an issue in their community that they care about and then taking action on that issue.

Troop 2082 loves their local community. They also love animals so it made sense for them to focus their efforts on raising money for their furry friends in the area K-9 units.

PAWS FOR A CAUSE

Currently, they are in the process of planning Paws for a Cause – a 5K/2 mile walk/run that will include both humans and their canine companions!

The event will take place on Friday, June 9 at 6:00pm in Seymour, WI. Proceeds will go toward the purchase of bullet proof vests for area police dogs.

JOIN US!

The community, and surrounding area, is encouraged to support the Girl Scouts and the Seymour Police Department by registering for, and participating in the walk/run. Register today at active.com.

For more information about Paws for a Cause, keep an eye on they’re Facebook page.
