Good things come to those who wait.

Join us for ChocolateFest 2017!

All year we wait. We wait for spring, for school to get out, for summertime and all of the fun things it brings. Friends, family, fun times, picnics and yummy foods, county fairs with carnivals and games, trips to the zoo and farm to see animals, live music in the park and church festivals. Memorial Day is a calendar bench mark for all of these events. The cue for the fun to begin! Memorial weekend is the official start of summer and with it, comes CHOCOLATEFEST and you are in luck, because we have it ALL!

Can you believe Chocolatefest has been going for 31 years? Yes!

For 31 years, volunteers from the Burlington community have gotten together to collaborate and bring a weekend of FUN for people to enjoy as they kick off the summer season. This year’s festivities kick off Friday, May 26 at 4pm and end on Monday, May 29 at 7pm.

The festival also serves as a conduit for civic groups, charities and non-profits to join forces and generate revenue that will benefit their cause. We are all very proud of what ChocolateFest represents – a community of giving volunteers supporting area causes.

FUN THINGS TO DO IN CHOCOLATEFEST COUNTRY

Our entertainment committee has been working hard to wrassle up everyone’s favorites. The always popular, “America’s Got Talent” hypnotist and illusionist Chris Jones will be here, along with a NASCAR exhibit, All American Lumberjacks, helicopter rides, and Battle of the Bands. Round up the posse and bring them down to the petting zoo! Granpa Cratchet will delight the littles and the Chocolate Chunk Dig will be back. The Friday night sky will be illuminated by wonderful fireworks. Chocolate City Idol is returning this year on Sunday afternoon and the Veteran’s will be honored with a beautiful Memorial Day parade on Monday.

New this year

We will have the kids music show “Miss Jamie’s Farm”. Café Stage will feature local talent, and a cupcake eating contest has been added to the fun. Taking the main stage by storm will be the band Royal Bliss performing rock, country and blues. Giddy-up out yonder and find our amazing food vendors where you can whet your whistle or wrassle up some good grub, classic to specialties, from around the country. Yum-Yum!

HIGH SCHOOL CULINARY CHALLENGE

FEATURING OUR “FUTURE CHEFS”
Two Wisconsin High School Culinary Teams will challenge each other, similar to the TV show “Chopped,” with unique secret Ingredients and basic staple foods. Teams will be competing for a portion of the $1,000 prize money to be used in their school’s Culinary Department.
