BY FLY A KITE FEST

Enjoy the day at Fly a Kite Fest!Precision Stunt Kite Teams will be back again this year to fly dual-line and quad-line kites. Inflatable, giant show kites of all shapes and sizes will fill the sky. Food, a kids’ activities area, yoga and a candy-drop promise a day filled with fun and amazement for all.

This year there are even more fields, which means more kites, more activities, more awareness and more fun at the 5th annual Fly A Kite Fest Presented by BayCare Clinic! The festival will be held at the Arnie Wolff Sports Complex in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Saturday, June 24, 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Because of the growing park, there will be a lot more space for kites of all kinds and Wisconsin Kiters Club will be able to put up even more kites this year!

Why Fly A Kite?

All of this fun is to raise awareness for healthy child development programs at Family & Childcare Resources of N.E.W. Programs. Parenting classes, home visitations and child abuse prevention trainings help to assure that children in northeast Wisconsin get a great start. Great starts are important because every child is born to fly!

The Kids’ Activities Area

The kids’ activities area will have room to spread out, too! You will find games, kite decorating, tattoos, and a box maze. This year, more room means we can have the Associated Bank Running of the Bols; kids get to race with parachute-like kites. Make sure to get your passport punched at your favorite stops so you can choose a prize!

Precision Stunt Kite Teams

Teams 180 GO! and Fire & Ice are sure to amaze those of all ages. Kites fly in dynamic formations and perform aerial maneuvers- all choreographed to music.

Candy Drop

Don’t miss the Community First Credit Union Candy Drop. A giant kite takes to the sky with a bag full of candy. It climbs high in the sky and swirls around to drop candy to children below.

Picnic and Yoga

If you want a slower speed, grab a picnic blanket and enjoy a burger from the concessions stand. You can also bring your yoga mat in the afternoon for Yoga under the Kites.

Fly a Kite Fest is free to attend.

Money is raised through concessions and raffle ticket sales; if you buy cotton candy, lunch or a raffle ticket for a ride of a lifetime, you will be supporting healthy child development programs at Family & Childcare Resources of N.E.W.
