Coloma Chicken Chew

With over 40 years of family fun, the Coloma Lions know what they’re doing; this village festival is truly what a small town, family festival should be. The Chicken Chew is always held the last full weekend in June and offers a variety of activities.

Something for Everyone & Everyone is Welcome

The Badgerland Midway Carnival is new this year and is certain to be a hit amoung kids both young and old.

Many children’s activities are scheduled throughout the weekend including: kitty-kat races, the unique chicken coop game and face painting. A great playground is also located at the festival.

There are two car shows scheduled, water fights hosted by the fire department, and a valve racing contest. There will be craft and flea market, a swap meet, one can re-visit the past at the Coloma museum and bingo will be played on both days. A parade is scheduled on Sunday morning.

A number of tournaments are also scheduled including: wood bat baseball, volleyball, bags, and horseshoes. New participants are always welcome.

Let’s Eat

Food and drink will be available for purchase all day including: hamburgers, brats, French fries, “chicken ribs,” along with a fish bake on Friday, a rib dinner on Saturday, and a chicken BBQ dinner on Sunday after the parade. Raffles will be available all weekend.

Music

Spicy Tie is slated for Friday night and Road Trip will play on Saturday.

If you love a small town festival, don’t miss the Chicken Chew. If you have never visited a small town festival, plan to join the fun at the Chicken Chew this year! For more details about the weekend and a full list of activities, visit ChickenChew.com.
